Home remedies for morning sickness

One of the worst side effects of pregnancy is morning sickness. That nauseous feeling every morning is something that most women dread. The following home remedies, however, can help you reduce the discomfort associated with morning sickness-

  • • Have a glass of lemon juice in the morning. Lemon helps in overcoming nausea.
  • • Make sure you drink lots of water and juices. Vomiting or throwing up can lead to dehydration, by increasing your consumption of fluids you will be able to keep your body hydrated.
  • • Stress and fatigue can also aggravate the symptoms of morning sickness. Therefore make sure you take proper rest and take up some stress busting activities like listening to music, meditation, walking etc.
  • • Even if you feel like throwing up the moment you eat something, make sure you do not starve yourself. If you do not feel like eating a full meal, have lots fruits, salads and juices.
  • • Pour a few drops of peppermint oil in a diffuser and keep it by your bedside. The fragrance of peppermint helps in overcoming the nauseous feeling associated with morning sickness.

Apart from these home remedies it is also extremely important to eat a balanced diet and take good care of your health.
