Home remedies to heal cuts and bruises

Cuts and bruises are as much a part of life as joy and laughter are! All of us get our share of them, although the emotional ones take their own sweet time to heal, the healing process of physical bruises can quickened with the help of the following home remedies-

  • • Turmeric has antiseptic properties and applying it on minor cuts helps in the healing process.
  • • Applying castor oil on bruises helps in alleviating the associated pain.
  • • You may also use a paste made of fresh raw garlic to disinfect a minor wound.
  • • A mixture of water, tea tree and lavender oil makes an effective wound wash.
  • • Applying crushed cabbage leaves on a bruise can help in reducing the associated swelling and pain.

These home remedies, however, would be effective only for minor cuts and bruises. In case of a serious injury, however, it would be advisable to apply pressure on the wound if it’s a cut or rub an ice cube on the affected area in case of a bruise and get medical help as soon as possible.
