Home remedies for gastritis

The discomfort and pain caused by gastritis can be cured with help of some commonly available foods. The following are a few suggestions-

Coconut water- Coconut water not only soothes the stomach but also provides the body with a lot of necessary vitamins and minerals. A person suffering from gastritis would do well to consume coconut water at regular intervals throughout the day.

Potato juice- A glass of potato juice half hour before meals helps in preventing gastritis.

Rice gruel- Drinking two cups of rice gruel daily (in a time interval of 4-5 hours) can also help in curing gastritis.

Apart from these home remedies it is also extremely important to take care of your diet. Remember to eat balanced meals, avoid going hungry for long intervals, eat in moderation (as overeating can also lead to gastritis) and stay away from foods and substances containing alcohol, nicotine and caffeine.
