Home remedies for dandruff

Dandruff is one of the most visible signs of unhealthy hair and scalp. The ugly white flakes not only cause hair fall, itching on the scalp and zits on the forehead, but also spoil your overall look (including the clothes you are wearing). So how do you get rid of it? Well, the following home remedies may help-

Lime- Add a tea spoon of fresh lemon juice to a mug or glass full of water and use it for the last rinse. Do this at least once a week; regular use will help you get rid of dandruff.
Snake gourd- Rub the juice of snake gourd on your scalp at least once a week. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash your hair.
Curd- Apply curd to your scalp twice a week and wash it off with a mild shampoo after 20-25 minutes.
Fenugreek seeds- Soak two teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in water and keep it overnight. Ground it into a fine paste in the morning and apply it to your scalp. Leave this paste on for around 30 minutes and then wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
Apart from these home remedies it is also important to take care of your diet, in order to get rid of dandruff. Make sure you include a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet and avoid substances like caffeine and nicotine.
