Home remedies to cure dizziness

Dizziness could be the result of a drop in blood pressure or sugar level of the body, dehydration, allergies, a heart stroke, malfunctioning of the ears, nervous system or an illness like diarrhea, flu or fever etc. Whatever the cause maybe, the following tips can help you avoid bouts of dizziness-

  • • Keep sweet biscuits or a packet of sugar with you, so that you always have something handy to keep you sugar level in check
  • • Sit or lie down whenever you start feeling dizzy to avoid injuries
  • • Make sure you don’t go hungry for long intervals and eat a balanced diet
  • • Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water everyday, you can increase the quantity if you live in a warm, tropical climate
  • • If you generally feel dizzy in the mornings, don’t get up from the bed immediately. Make it a practice to lie in bed with your eyes open for a few minutes and then get up slowly.

Do consult your doctor if you feel dizzy frequently or if you are on medication, as sometimes dizziness could also be a side effect of your medicines.
