Home Remedies for Sunburn

1. Wet teabags, leftover from brewing tea and cooled can be held on afflicted skin.
2. Aloe Vera Gel will cool the area, and the use of calendula to expedite healing is recommended. Aloe is available from plant leaves or commercial preparations. Calendula based creams are widely available.
3. Mix 2 teaspoon tomato juice and 4 tablespoon buttermilk and apply on the face. Leave for 1/2 hour, and wash off.
4. Mix olive oil with equal quantity of vinegar and apply an hour before your bath.
5. Make a paste of Barley, turmeric and yogurt in equal proportions. Apply it over the area of sunburns.
6. A thin paste of sandalwood applied to the sunburn area is beneficial.
