Home remedies for common fever

Common fever may seem like a complete nuisance, but it’s actually a necessary evil. In fact it is our body’s attempt to rid itself of toxins. The best way to get rid of common fever, therefore, is to speed up the process of detoxification. The following home remedies can help you cleanse your system, so that you can get quick relief from the uncomfortable symptoms of common fever-

  • • In eastern medicine saffron is considered to have detoxifying properties. Drinking saffron tea several times a day can help in bringing your temperature down.
  • • Drinking apricot juice can also help in cleansing your system and alleviating the symptoms of common fever.
  • • Common fever often makes the throat dry and parched. Drinking half a glass of grapefruit juice along with the same quantity of water, will not only keep you hydrated but will also help in flushing out the toxins from your system.
  • • Basil is considered to be a holy plant in many Asian countries, thanks to its healing properties. Chewing 3-4 basil leaves 4 to 5 times a day can help in cleansing your system and bringing down the fever.

Finally, do remember that prevention is always better than cure, so make sure you take good care of your diet and hygiene to prevent common fever from getting anywhere close to you!
