Lemon and Salt for Cold Sores

Other cold sore treatments mainly focus on treating the problem from the outside in instead of the inside out. You can use a variety of home treatments that involve little effort at all. One of the most common treatments that are being used in the treating of cold sores is the use of lemon. Particularly, a lemon lip balms is the best choice. The only thing you really need to remember about that is that you need to wash your hands first, apply the lip balm with your finger, and then wash your hands again afterwards. You can also use salt through this as well. The salt will help in treating any liquids that may come through the blister. (The fever will often cause the blister to seep liquid through it. Holding a small amount of salt against the blister is the best way to go when using this particular form of salt.
