Diabetes can be treated without Medicines

Stop thinking that when you take medicines to control your sugar levels and treat diabetes, you will eventually be free from the disease. Despite taking medications regularly, you will not get rid of this condition if you will not have a drastic lifestyle change.

There are natural ways to cure diabetes. This type of natural cure is composed of three basic factors---diet, exercise, and taking nutritional supplements.

A diabetic patient must partake of a diet with low glycemic index. This means that the patient’s meal must be composed of low carbohydrate, regulated protein sources and high fiber content. This diet will ensure that there will be lowered sugar levels and lesser need for insulin and other medications for diabetes and the health risks that may increase with diabetes such as high blood pressure, obesity and kidney diseases.

Exercise helps in the reduction of LDL ( a bad protein) while increasing HDL levels which is a good protein, thereby decreasing the risk of heart disease. Natural physical activities such as walking and running can help diabetes patients lower their blood glucose levels and cholesterol levels.

A diabetic can also choose to take nutritional supplements regularly. The active ingredients of these supplements can help lower blood sugar levels, as well as lower cholesterol levels, improve energy and lower the threat of occurrence of heart disease. Since these are natural supplements, they do not cause any harm to the body, especially the liver and kidneys, unlike medicines.
