Do Nothing for Stretch Marks

Let them heal

Stretch marks are red or purple lines on the skin that occur when the skin is stretched too quickly, resulting in the tearing of the dermis and epidermis. This can be due to rapid weight gain, as occurs during pregnancy or obesity, or to rapid growth such as during puberty. Over time, the marks fade to silvery or white.

Let stretch marks heal on their own

Method

All it takes is time.

Why It Works

It may take several years, but stretch marks will generally fade to a much lighter color and become much less noticeable over time. This is especially true for people with lighter complexions, because the lighter marks are more likely to show up against darker complexions. Stretch marks heal just as other scars diminish as time goes on – the skin naturally renews itself.

Precautions

No treatment means no risks.
