Start-stop Technique for Premature Ejaculation

stop stop stop
stop and start
Stop then start again

The start-stop technique is a technique developed for men who tend to ejaculate prematurely during sex, particularly for those men who tend to ejaculate before they have had an opportunity to enter their partners. Notably, it can be practiced without a partner.

Try the start-stop method for premature ejaculation

Method

  • First, begin sexual activity as usual, including stimulating the penis, but stop when you feel you are about to ejaculate.
  • Wait until the urge to ejaculate has passed. Then go back to foreplay.
  • Repeat the technique as many times as necessary, until you are able to enter your partner without ejaculating.
  • With practice, you may find that you develop the ability to control premature ejaculation without needing to stop and do the start stop technique with your partner.
  • You can also practice the start stop technique on your own, while masturbating.

Why It Works

The start stop technique removes the stimulation that is making the penis erect, giving it a chance to become less erect and less aroused. The lovemaking couple can then take time to bring the penis back to a full erection again. If it is still too soon to ejaculate, it is possible to use the technique again and again until the time is right.

Precautions

The start stop technique will not work for cases of premature ejaculation that is caused by a medical condition, such as diabetes, prostatitis, urethritis, urological disorders, or mental disorders such as depression.
