An apple will not provide instant relief but it is the perfect example of the type of food that will improve chronic constipation. It's full of fiber and contains a lot of water. The tannins also help to move things along.

thanks for this post. i will add apple on my diet. anyways ive been experiencing constipation before due to stress,ways of eating and its my family genes(consti prob),my friend recommended to me this program and its amazingly effective to me (but to some maybe yes or not,we have different body) heres the program http://tinyurl.com/endconstip .i would also recommend to you guys try to eat colves of garlic regularly (according to studies it prevent colo cancer) and also this exercise helps me in a way, hullahoopin(intestine exercise).
