Hi Mary. I wish I had some magic quick and easy fix for you regarding your hair loss, but unfortnately, alopecia may not be as simple as it seems.

Firstly, there are a myriad of causes of hair loss(alopecia), and appropriate treatment will of course depend on the reason you are losing hair.

Hair loss can be as simple as a result of normal ageing up to a symptom of cancer, so determining the diagnosis for your hair loss is no insiginificant detail. Some causes of alopecia include but are not limited to: pattern baldness, lupus, lichen planus, autoimmune disease, excessive styling, physiological or psychological stress, metabolic disorders, malignancies, nutritional deficiencies, medications, endocrine or hormonal disturbances, diabetes, or ringworm.

Therefore, my best recommendation to you is to consult with your regular healthcare professional to determine the underlying cause of your hair loss. Once you have a clear diagnosis, proper and appropriate treatment can be recommended.
