Good question Ford. Thank you

Good question Ford. Thank you for your follow-up comment as this allows for more information regarding your particular problem. You seem to be on the right track as far as your dental care is concerned. However, I can’t help but wonder if you have discussed this problem with your Dentist or Healthcare Provider? I do think it may be a good idea.

There are several home remedies for bad breath. Most have to do with chewing something after eating, like parsley or mint. Flossing of course is number one. There are several products out there now days for a quick impromptu brush or floss to freshen up discretely on the run. I have also read that a bit of pure tea tree oil mixed in with your toothpaste can be helpful.

Apples are an old time remedy used to freshen up the breath and help with plaque removal. There is a restaurant chain that serves Chicago Style Pizza I recently went to, they offered apples instead of breath mints as you leave the establishment. I took one and loved it; garlic and onion smell and taste all gone.

You should be sure to have a proper fluid intake as dry mouth can cause odor as well. You should drink enough sugar, corn syrup and carbonation free liquids daily to produce clear urine. There are also mouthwashes specifically for dry mouth. But the fluids are very important in overall optimal health.

You may want to ask an older pharmacist for advice on this matter. Those guys can amaze you with some of the “cures” they are knowledgeable about. Sometimes there are preparations behind the counter or that they can prepare for you without a prescription.

Again Ford if none of these are of assistance or you are unable to find no other quick cure; please bring this matter to the attention of your Dentist or Healthcare Provider. He/she should be able to help you out, as this may not be just a mouth problem. There are some digestive disorders that can present with the same type of symptoms.

Good Luck to you and thank you for your patience.

Cathy
