I have had some type of upper respiratory infection (on and off) for about 4 months - No coughing- phlegm in back of throat-sore throat- antibiotics don't help it because it's not bacterial- What can it be? What can I do?

Same question - What can I do about an on and off upper respiratory infection - phlegm in the back of my throat (which is sore most of the time) - What remedies can I take? Antibiotics don't help because the doctors say it's not bacterial. Please help me. I'm at wits end.

This can be a combination of things including food allergies, immune problems and certain organs that need strengthening.
Try to stay away from cow's milk - it contains a protein called Caysene which increases phlegm in the body.
When people have recurrent respiratory problems I frequently find that what they really need to do is work on their adrenals. The adrenals are little gland that sit above the kidneys which are responsible for regulating the stress responce in the body. Trying not to get angry, sleeping well and eating right will help you. There are some supplements that help strengthen the adrenals such as Deer Antler Velvet and Cordycepes Mushroom, also a good probiotic will help.
