One of the best, natural ways

One of the best, natural ways to resolve a headache is to get a massage. Many headaches can be traced to muscle tension, especially in the neck, that can pull on the occiptofrontalis muscle in the cranium and cause pain. You may be holding tension in areas of which you are unaware and this can definitely contribute to headaches. You can also try acupuncture or acupressure from a qualified practitioner.

In addition, if you are truly having a migraine headache, avoid migraine triggers. This would include chocolate, red wine, sulfites, dried fruits, and salted fish.

You can also try the application of essential oils on trigger points or use them as aromatherapy to relieve a headache. Essential oils good for headaches include peppermint oil, balsam fir, German chamomile, Roman chamomile, Lavender, Basil, Eucalyptus globulus, Valerian, Spearmint, Lemon, Rosemary, Helichrysum, and Sandalwood.

You can also try some herbs like feverfew or willow bark. Green tea extract is a natural source of caffeine which may help with vascular type headaches such as migraines. Be sure to consult with your regular healthcare professional before taking any herbal products.
