My 8 year old had sunburned the back of her legs & face. She had sunscreen on but did not reapply it. I kept her inside 2 days. I tried Aloe gel.It stung. Her face has dry red patches but white around her mouth. Seems whatever I put on her burns her skin

A nice remedy for sun burn is a diluted apple cider vinegar bath. Add like 1/2cup to bath water and soak.
Oatmeal baths are also a good choice.
You can try applying yogurt to the burn.
If she starts feeling chills, nasua, has a fever or feels like she wants to faint- Go to a doctor.
