The best way to treat

The best way to treat wrinkles is to do everything you can to prevent them in the first place. For instance, avoiding sun damage, not smoking, reducing stress, getting adequate sleep, staying properly hydrated, eating a healthy diet, and sleeping on your back to avoid repetitive pillow lines may all help reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

If you already have wrinkles, there are some things you can try at home. Before trying any remedy suggested, be sure to check with your regular healthcare professional, and avoid those things to which you may be allergic.

Applying natural oils such as coconut oil, castor oil, olive oil, rose oil, or grapeseed extract and massaging them into the skin have all be suggested to reduce wrinkles. The massaging may be just as beneficial as the oil you use, but should be done lightly to avoid damaging the skin. You may consider consulting with an esthetician or massage therapist for specific techniques.

You can also try applying various types of fruit such as pineapple, apple, lemon, or grapes for a few minutes each day, then rinsing off.

Moisturizing is very important with wrinkles. You can apply honey, or create a homemade moisturizer with natural ingredients, such as jojoba oil, beeswax, essential oils, and aloe vera.

Antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, and E, may be beneficial both applied topically and ingested. Vitamin B 12 may also help.

Finally, be sure to check out the Wrinkles page here on GrannyMed.com to read about more natural remedies in greater depth.
