I am so sorry to hear about

I am so sorry to hear about your husband's trauma. Not only did he experience physical wounds, but the aftermath of losing an eye is also emotionally very tough. I'm sure it has been a challenge for you as his wife to find the best ways to love and support him through this difficult time.

It would be so nice if there were some herb that could soothe his pain and make things better, but I would be remiss if I were to suggest that an herbal supplement could fix such a devistating situation. Although there are a variety of herbs that are used to support people with depression and anxiety such as St. Johns Wort, Kava kava and others, this would not be appropriate monotherapy in a situation as serious as that of your husband.

The reality is that you husband will have to go through the healing process, not just physically, but emotionally as well. Finding a support group, a therapist, a counselor, and doctors would be beneficial. He will need to work through this trauma. If he wishes to use herbal supplements as one modality, he can discuss the best options with the professionals actively treating him.

I wish both you and him the very best.
