Gabby, are you sure you have

Gabby, are you sure you have eczema? I wish I knew where on the body your eczema is located. Due to the difference of skin texture and sensitivity on other body parts, it would help greatly in a plan of action. Of utmost importance is keeping the area clean and dry.

Oatmeal is said to be very helpful with skin irritation and excessive dryness. Please make sure that oatmeal is in the top three ingredients of any store bought preparation. You can make your own oatmeal paste by cooking oatmeal, allowing it to cool, apply like you would a mask and leave on for a while. This may be extremely soothing as long as you have no allergies to the oatmeal.

Another remedy often used for skin irritations is Tea Tree Oil. Tea Tree Oil is known to have antifungal properties. You will want to read the ingredients here as well. The substance that you are looking to for help should always be one of the top ingredients in the mix. The remaining mixture should be as natural as possible. Aloe is another natural substance known for helping with skin irritations, burns, and rashes. Zinc as used for diaper rash may be of some assistance.

If you are in doubt ask a druggist or pharmacist. They are trained very stringently in apothecary and chemistry. Most of the time a pharmacist is able to tell you if a substance will cause or has the capability to cause irritation.
Please test any substance you plan to use on the underside of your wrist first. This will help to determine if an unwanted reaction might occur.
Good Luck to you.
