Please note that I am not a physician and cannot diagnose any medical condition. Even if I could it would be imprudent to do so without a proper examination and laboratory testing.

What I can say is that pain is not normal. Pain is a signal that something is physiologically wrong and should never be ignored. If your headaches are truly as painful as you say, then I would suggest getting a second opinion from a qualified medical professional, or seeking the opinion of a specialist like a neurologist.

Headaches can origniate from a variety of sources so it is really impossible to provide you any specific guidance. It could be anything from muscular strain, to meningitis, to a malignancy. Headache is a non-specific symptom and can be a presenting factor in many disease processes.

If your headache worsens when you nod your head forward or you also have a fever or you experience changes in vision seek medical attention immediately.

This is not something to ignore. Find a professional that will take the time to investigate your symptoms serious and provide a firm diagnosis so that an appropriate action plan can be created for you.

my daughter is 8 years old

my daughter is 8 years old and has had migraines since she was 4. She has 2 neurologist, 1 sleep specialist, and 1 pullmonary specialist at a childrens hospital. It took many years to figure out what her trigger was that would cause her to get a migraine. She was getting up anywhere from 3 to 7 times a night and then the next day she would get a migraine. Her neurologist recommended us to keep a journal, thats how we figured out what her trigger was. She under went a sleep study and was dignoised with obstructive sleep apnea. She then was sent to an ENT doctor who recomended her to have her tonsils and adnoids taken out. She had a very small throat and had very little room to breath when she went to sleep. Now that she has had this done her headaches have went from two a week to about two a month. Keep seeking help for your migraines and dont give up.
