Home Remedies for Headache
Although headaches are not totally understood, some researchers think that
migraine headaches might be caused by the functional changes in the nervous system, and by chemical agent imbalances in the brain, including serotonin, which regulates the messages of the pain.
During a headache, the serotonin level drops. Researchers think this makes the nerve of the trigeminal send substances that travel to the external cover of the brain. There they make the blood vessels dilate and inflamed. The result is
headache pain.
Because the levels of magnesium, (a mineral needed in the function of the nerve cell), also fall right before or during a migraine headache, it is possible that the low amounts of magnesium can make the cells of the nerve in the brain fail.
