What causes smelly feet?

Foot odor is usually caused by bacteria. Those who sweat more than others are more prone to foot odor because bacteria thrives in moist, warm environments. Fungal infections can also contribute to foot odor. Most people can eliminate foot odor, or at least reduce it to non-noticeable levels, by making sure that their feet are clean and dry.
