What is a rash?
"Rash" is a general term for any skin irritation. Most rashes, especially those that itch, are due to a histamine response to an allergic reaction to either external irritants or ingested foods or medications. Eczema or psoriasis are also responsible for rashes. Rashes can be confined to a small area or spread over the whole body. Some rashes are caused by serious illnesses. Whatever the cause, most of us have had some type of rash at one time or another and know how maddening it can be. If you have a persistent rash of unexplained origin you should always consult a doctor to make sure that it is not a sign of a serious illness. If you are simply looking for some relief you will find some natural treatments and herbal remedies here at GrannyMed.com
