Uses of Ginger

The medicinal properties of ginger make it a veritable wonder-herb. Ginger is used for alltypes of nausea including motion sickness, morning sickness, chemotherapy-induced nausea, and post-surgical nausea. It is also useful for ginger vertigo, migraines, arthritis, respiratory infections, and pain.

The medicinal properties of ginger come from the rhizome and root which contain a variety of active compounds including gingerol, gingerdione, and shogaol. Gingerol, gingerdione, and shogaol have a variety of pharmacological effects in the body.
