Why does our head hurt?
A Headache is a common pain in the head or the neck. Most of people who suffer from headaches can feel much better by making changes in their life style, such as, learning ways to relax and once in a while taking medications.
Types of headache
There are four types of headaches: Vascular contraction, muscles tension, traction, and inflammatory headaches.
The most common type of vascular headache is migraines. The migraine headaches are characterized generally by severe pain in the sides of the head, an upset stomach, and occasionally vision problems. Women are more probable than men to have migraine headaches.
After migraines, the most common type of vascular headache is the toxic headache produced by a fever. Other classes of vascular headaches include the cluster headaches that cause repeated episodes of the intense pain, and the arterial tension headaches.
Headaches connected to the contraction of particular muscles appear to imply the adjustment or the tightening of facial and neck muscles. The inflammation and headaches are symptoms of other disorders.
Like other types of pain, headaches can be a sign for more dangerous and serious disorders. This is particularly true in headaches caused by the inflammation, including those related to meningitis, as well as those that are from diseases connected to the sinuses, spine, neck, ears, and teeth.
